Longer school days- Yes or No ?

Education Minister Michael Gove says that our schools are underachieving, compared to Asian schools because our school days are too short and our school holidays are too long. Christine Blower from the National Union of Teachers argues that our children and staff spend longer in the classrooms than most other countries and also have some of the shortest holidays.
